Joe Cole Passes

One of the elder family members, Joe Cole, passed on Sunday, May 13, 2012. Read his story here as presented by the Kirkwood-Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday at Bopp Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Funeral is scheduled for Monday from 9:30 a.m. at Bopp Chapel to St. Peter Catholic Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment National Cemetery.

'Soul Sistas' Return to Trek Women Triathalon Seattle

Ain-Akilah Bell and S. Islamah Rashid of the Soul Sistas participated for the 9th consecutive year in the Trek Women Triathalon. The events included a 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike ride and 3 mile run. September 2009

A surprise party was held for John T. Hampton in Sheffield, Alabama on August 16. Click the photo to view more photos from the day honoring the "Peanut Man."

Plant in Family for over 100 Years

This plumosus fern has been in the Hampton family for over 100 years. Alabama Hampton gave it to her daughter, Sadelle Hampton Watkins, and Sadelle gave it to her daughter, Etta Aileen Barker (shown at left). Etta gave it to her daughter, Vicki Adelle Barker. Vicki returned it to her mother.
