'Soul Sistas' Return to Trek Women Triathalon Seattle

Ain-Akilah Bell and S. Islamah Rashid of the Soul Sistas participated for the 9th consecutive year in the Trek Women Triathalon. The events included a 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike ride and 3 mile run. September 2009

John T. Surprised on 89th birthday!

A surprise party was held for John T. Hampton in Sheffield, Alabama on August 16. Click the photo to view more photos from the day honoring the "Peanut Man."

Plant in Family for over 100 Years

This plumosus fern has been in the Hampton family for over 100 years. Alabama Hampton gave it to her daughter, Sadelle Hampton Watkins, and Sadelle gave it to her daughter, Etta Aileen Barker (shown at left). Etta gave it to her daughter, Vicki Adelle Barker. Vicki returned it to her mother.

ENGAGED! Lynnel Hampton and Dustan Bott recently announced their engagement. The couple became engaged on June 4, 2009, at the Jardin des Tuiliers, the huge garden by the Louvre Museum in Paris. The wedding is planned for next fall. Congratulations!
