Floyd Cole
was born December 14, 1922 in Roe Arkansas. He passed on
December 13, 1987 in Detroit Michigan. Floyd lived in
Arkansas until 1948 when he moved to Detroit to join his
brothers who had come North to find work. Floyd was a
loving and devoted son, husband, and father of 11 children.
It was hard from him to leave his Mother in Arkansas, being the
youngest of 11 children. Floyd worked for Chrysler Corp.
for many years until he retired. Although he did not finish
school, he always valued education and wanted his children to
attend college. Floyd also valued his family and was
extremely proud of the Cole Hampton Lee family reunions.
I know he is smiling down on us each time our family unites for
a reunion. Floyd and his brother Kirk (Jabbo) were Deacons of
Mayflower Baptist Church.
